THANK YOU

Support for the White Chapel Patriots Race was outstanding. The crowds were great. The 10K and 5K times were strong. The special appearances by Country music artist and wounded Marine veteran Stephen Cochran and friends were treasures. The food, donated from so many popular community restaurants and shops was plentiful and delish!
A decade’s-worth of financial support to Michigan veterans and their families through partnership with the Michigan Wounded & Returning Warriors Project was made possible by the participation of thousands of Patriots Race racers, runners and walkers.
White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery has been a beautiful race setting coursing through flag-lined private boulevards and stirring monuments to veterans and service members from conflicts as far back as WWI. The Patriots Race featured probably the flattest and fastest 10K and 5K courses in Southeastern Michigan.

Nashville star Stephen Cochran, country sensation, Sal Gonzalez, also a wounded Marine vet, and Flint’s rising country talent, Billy Gunther performed at the 2025 Patriots Race.

Before, during and after the 2025 Patriots Race, White Chapel hosted the first-ever Michigan appearance of the Global War On Terror Wall Of Remembrance. It’s a 120-foot-long wall featuring the names of those warriors who died in military operations and terror attacks and honoring the first responders and victims lost on 9/11. Operated by veterans and first-responders, the Wall offers a space for remembrance and reflection.
The Global War On Terror Wall Of Remembrance was stationed alongside the Patriots Race Start/Finish line, so race participants and supporters could spend time with this extraordinary monument.
