Discounts for Veterans and for Groups
Participation for the 2022 Patriots Race was terrific after we paused for safety in 2020 and 2021. The crowds were great. The 10K and 5K times were strong. And the food, donated from so many popular community restaurants and shops was plentiful and delish!
The White Chapel Patriots Race will be roaring back for 2023!
White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery is and remains a beautiful race setting coursing through flag-lined private boulevards and stirring monuments to veterans and service members from conflicts as far back as WWI. Plus, the Patriots Race features probably the flattest and fastest 10K and 5K courses in Southeastern Michigan.
Registration is open, so you can join us to help support Michigan veterans and their families.

Is this just running or do you have 5k/10k walks as well? I am not a runner but would love to walk it.

Yes – you can walk or run (or stroll or skip) any of the distances. There are group discounts available if you register four or more and you can all walk together. In previous Patriots Races, we had a number of people and groups walking the 1M and 5K. You can finish your distance anytime, knowing that the finish line will come down at around 11:15 AM.

What if we laid ahead in the 2019 race for 2020 but then it was cancelled??
Are we still on record for paying a year early or technically now.. three years since there was no race the last two years.

Yes – If you registered and paid for the 2020 race that was cancelled, your registration can be rolled-over to this year’s event.

This would be my first time. I registered early (May 23) for the 5K walk/run. Are you giving out T shirt before the event? Is there a designated parking area for participants? Thank you.

Thanks Raymond. It’s best if you can get your official race t-shirt and numbered bib at packet pick-up the day before the race. You can also get them the morning of the race. There is plenty of free parking close to the starting-line, food and activity tents and porto-potties. Enter the park through the Crooks Road entrance and you’ll be guided to the parking area. Tell your friends to register and join you on the 11th. Discounted pricing ends later this month.

Thanks Fatima. When you pick-up your race bib, you’ll also get a Patriots Race t-shirt. As you cross the finish-line, you will be presented with Patriots Race “dog-tag” medals. Top finishers in the timed 10K and 5K events receive real Gold, Silver and Bronze “dog-tag” style medals. There will be free food and beverages for participants and their supporters, activities for children and plenty of convenient parking. We hope to see you there!

I just moved back to Metro Detroit area and saw this event. Being born and raised Olive Drab and having my father, Lt. Col. King, laid to rest at White Chapel – I’d like to volunteer. Can help in set up, or with security. Just need a reporting time, chain of command and mission and I’ll be there. Hooooah!

No worries, Roy! The 2023 Patriots Race will take place at White Chapel Memorial Park – 621 W. Long Lake Road in Troy, Michigan. It’s a flat and fast course with plenty of free parking on the grounds. We hope you’ll join us and support Michigan veterans.

Iama Veteran and will be there to thank the runners. I served 1966 – 1968 Vietnam Era. Is parking close to start line I walk with a cane. Thank you for supporting our Veterans.

Iam a Vietnam Veteran I want to come and thank all the runners. I walk with a cane will parking be near the sayer line ? Do you have a cart to give old man a ride I can’t walk very far. Thank you for caring about my brothers and sisters. True American Heroes. 👍
